Diagnostics of railway tracks on Russian railways requires the deployment of a wide range of equipment manufactured by various producers.This makes it especially important to maintain the knowledge of permanent way personnel and their skills of operating sophisticated equipment.

 

To arrange training and refresher training of the skilled personnel for maintenance and operation of diagnostic equipment, TVEMA established in 2009 a Non-state Educational Facility "Centre for Training of Technical Diagnostics Specialists". The educational services it offers include: short-term training of crews assigned to operation of new machinery, as well as assessment of their knowledge; development of competence of various level specialists; professional refresher training; vocational training. 

 

The training is carried out in compliance with approved programs in classes, laboratories and test sites equipped with state-of-the-art teaching aids and equipment, plus workbenches, simulators, and computerized training software. Operating diagnostic equipment manufactured by TVEMA and third parties is employed in the training.

 

The centre is hosted by one of the company production sites, which provides efficiency of field and laboratory sessions in mastering methods of operating and maintaining diagnostic equipment. Following a theoretical course, two-week practice sessions are envisaged where the mobile devices which are used at the railways of the country are employed. 

 

Classes are conducted by highly qualified teachers and specialists TVEMA, as well as leading research institutes, design offices, the Central office of JSC «Russian Railroads» in the field of NDT control and technical diagnostics of track and other rail infrastructure. During the work of the centre in its classrooms, laboratories and proving grounds has trained more than 5,000 professionals of JSC «Russian Railroads» and industrial enterprises of Russia (861 of them the heads of departments of the Directorate of infrastructure of JSC «Russian Railroads»). Learning center services are also appropriate training of technical diagnostics CIS countries and far abroad. So, over the years, there are trained specialists from Armenia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Mongolia, Israel and China celebrated the high level of organization and quality of teaching.
